The Point-Coolum Beach Guest Terms and Conditions

Guests are advised to read the terms and conditions of stay as listed below as these have been written for your protection and the protection of other guests.

CANCELLATION POLICY


THE POINT-COOLUM BEACH adopts the following practice when dealing with cancellation of a holiday booking.

HIGH SEASON
  • If the booking is cancelled 28 days or more prior to the planned date of arrival, there will be a full refund less an administration fee of $30.00.
  • If the booking is cancelled less than 28 days prior to the planned arrival date, there will be no refund unless and until the premises are re-let for the total period of the original booking.  An administration fee of $30.00 will be deducted from the deposit held before the remainder is refunded.
LOW SEASON
  • If the booking is cancelled 14 days or more prior to the planned date of arrival, there will be a full refund less an administration fee of $30.00.
  • If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days prior to the planned arrival date, there will be no refund unless and until the premises are re-let for the total period of the original booking.  An administration fee of $30.00 will be deducted from the deposit held before the remainder is refunded.

SHORT NOTICE BOOKINGS
  • Where a booking is made less than 14 days prior to the planned arrival date, there will be no refund unless and until the premises are re-let for the total period of the original booking.  An administration fee of $30.00 will be deducted from the deposit held before the remainder is refunded.

CONFIRMED BOOKINGS
  • A booking that has not been confirmed by a deposit being paid is not guaranteed.
  • A deposit of $200.00 will confirm a one-week booking during low season.
  • A deposit of $500.00 will confirm a one-week booking in high season.
  • The balance of the tariff is due on arrival (or such other time as stated).
The administration fee covers the cost of processing the booking, receipting and banking the money, canceling the booking from the system, drawing the refund cheque, mailing the refund cheque and covering letter and meeting bank charges.

THIS POLICY IS ENDORSED BY
THE AUSTRALIAN RESIDENT ACCOMMODATION MANAGERS ASSOCIATION (ARAMA).


CONDITIONS OF BAILMENT


1.    The villa owner and Villa Management of The Point Coolum Beach shall not be liable to any guest or invitee of a guest for any loss, damage or destruction to any personal property brought upon these premises by the said guest or invitee unless such loss, damage or destruction was the deliberate or negligent act of the villa owner or Villa Management, or its authorised agents and employees or the property had been deposited in our safe custody.

2.    Without limiting the foregoing, personal property shall include money, jewellery and all other effects, and motor vehicles parked on the premises.

3.    When a guest registers at reception or an invitee of a guest proceeds beyond this point, they shall be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these conditions.

4.    The foregoing is subject to and does not exclude, restrict or modify the application of the Trade Practices Act, 1974 (commonwealth).


RULES OF THE HOUSE

1.    Guests and invitees of guests are expected to behave in a manner, which is conductive to the safety, comfort and convenience of other guests within the property.

2.    A breach of any House Rules may result in the summary eviction of the offender at the discretion of the Manager.

3.    A breach of House Rules includes:-
a)    noisy, offensive and/or unruly behaviour:
b)    damage to or destruction of property:
c)    improper or unseemly conduct:
d)    any act or omission which, in the opinion of the Manager, adversely affects or brings discredit upon the Manager, owner or other guests.
